The play is set in Manhattan, where Amir Kapoor is a Muslim American lawyer. He is married to an artist named Emily. He isn't sure if he should appear in a court case involving Muslims and terrorist activity. They host a dinner party for Jorah and Isaac.

The conversation begins to become heated regarding the different religious beliefs at thee table, leading Amir to beat Emily.

3. What is the unique factor?

Emily seems to draw more the the concept of a religion than her husband.

4. What is the dramatic question that should be answered by the end of the play?

Will Amir stand up for his beliefs and lose his career? Will his firm support him?

The first kind is a Emily and Isaac's affair in London. There's also Amir's negativity towards the Muslim faith and the occupations they have.

The Second Kind of Exposition is Amir's negativity towards the Muslim faith and the occupations that they hold.

Amir attacking Emily by far. He talks about this in the text, but his wife disagrees, saying he can leave her. He later ends up beating her.
Amir looks at the painting and reflects on how he's lost everything.

Racism, Prejudice, Amir and and Abe change their names to make Amir's last name seem less Muslim, but more American.

Amir wants to be a partner, Wants Isaac, Jory and Emily to understand his negative views towards Islam, and wishes for EMily to Forgive him. He faces "Me V. Myself" when he contemplates helping Imam and when he must confront his emotions with how he treated Emily, Isaac, and Jory.
"Me V. Another": Je argues with Jory when she's promoted above him and when he argues with Isaac.
"Me V Society": He cahnges his last name, the birthplace of his parents, and has to contemplate whether or not to help Imam.

9. Describe some possible images in the play and how does the title help us understand the play.

The glass that Amir smashes and the Kufi that Abe wears. Broken glass is representative of the friendships lost. The Kufi Abe wears at the end of the play represents him accepting his Islamic religion and his sympathy towards the Muslim faith.

10. Briefly define the family relationships that are examined in the play.

Amir, Abe, and Emily. Emily accepts Amir for who he is. She found a type of beauty in his background. Emily Supports Abe even though he's Amir's nephew.
